Thank Him In Everything?!

Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m not there yet. I’m seeking to thank and praise God in everything, and God’s still working on me. I’ve heard several songs on this subject, but none quite as upbeat as the one from the band called “33 Miles.” Immediately, when I first heard this song on Christian radio, I just LOVED it! This song helps put my heart and mind in the right place, while “lifting my spirits,” and making me want to dance and praise Him! Check out the lyrics below, and the “listening link” that follows:

Thank You

By: 33 Miles

What if in the morning when I wake up
Even before I fill my coffee cup
I said thank you
Thank you

What if I looked at the day and the hours ahead
and before I moved forward I bowed my head
I said thank you
oh, I said thank you

What if I looked at my life in a different way
took a little more time to stop and pray
I know it would change all the moments in between
so here I go

Thank you for everything
Thank you for loving me
it don’t even matter what tomorrow brings
well I will sing my

Thank you for sun and rain
for what you give and take away
for all your goodness I will always say
thank you
oh, I said thank you

What if I lost everything that I had
I could smile and somehow still be glad
and say thank you
thank you

Cause life is joy, life is pain
but the prayer of my heart will never change
I say thank you
oh, I say thank you

what if I looked at my life in a different way
took a little more time to stop and pray

I know it would change all the moments in between
so here I go

Thank you for everything
Thank for loving me
it don’t even matter what tomorrow brings
well I will sing my

Thank you for sun and rain
for what you give and take away
for all your goodness I will always say
thank you (yea.yea.yea.yea)

Well I will sing my
Thank you for everything
Thank you for loving me
it don’t even matter what tomorrow brings
well I will sing my

Thank you for sun and rain
for what you give and take away
for all your goodness I will always say (i will always)
for all your goodness I will always say-ay-ay-ay
Thank you

  1. Hi Janet,

It is truly a blessing to listen to wonderful Christian music. On days when I need a boost… Christian music is a great remedy. Had trouble playing the music at the websites, but the words are inspiring and ministers to the heart.

    Have a great week!

    Blessings,
    Gin

Hey Gin, I sure do agree with ya about Christian music!

  2. I visited your blog today and found it interesting. Believe me, none of are there yet. And I liked your inner jogging quote. I’m not sure this will publish as a comment. I don’t know all the ins and outs of blogging.

Hi Marj! Glad you stopped by and enjoyed your visit! And you did just fine with leaving a comment!

  3. Hi Janet-
I have never heard of 33 Miles, but I like the lyrics and I like their sound, after visiting their web-site. I bookmarked it so I can go back later and listen to more. Since I am learning the guitar, I am immediately drawn to artists that play more of the guitar in their music.
    I love their song! Thanks!

  4. Woops…that last one was from me…Frances at “Cherish the Days”. Sorry about that.

Hi Frances! I’m so glad you enjoyed the song! I didn’t know you were learning guitar–that’s great! I used to know how to play a little, but getting pretty “rusty” lately! Yeah, I had never heard of 33 Miles either, until the other day!!

  5. Janet, I have never heard of 33 miles . I was able to listen to the entire song and enjoyed it very much. Yeah even an ol’ lady like me LOL! Great lyrics!!! If you really pay attention to the words of this song, that is the way it should be. Regardless of what goes on in our life, He has already done so much for us on Calvary alone that we should automatically give Him thanks everyday no matter what. Great Post!

I had never heard of 33 Miles until a week or so ago! After I heard the song on the radio, I immediately looked it up and found the artist. Glad you enjoyed it. I agree that the lyrics describe the way it should be with us!

  6. I really like the lyrics to that song!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

    Hi Karen,

Thanks so much for stopping by! I dropped by your site too–nice blog! I like the name–TAG! I noticed the Faith-Lift Fridays Meme too–I might have to add that to my list of memes!

  7. […] It’s really been on my mind and heart, so I just had to include at least a portion of the above song in today’s post. (You may view the song in it’s entirety and obtain a “listening link” when you visit this previous post here.) […]
