You Mock What You Don’t Understand…

You may think that I’m a fanatic

You may think that I’m a freak

You may shake your head and wonder

Why I scurry off to church each week.

You laugh, you mock, you criticize

You look at me with such disgust.

All because you do not know Him…

the One I serve and Whom I trust.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What you really do not realize

is that it makes no difference to me.

It matters not how many times

you may laugh and point with glee.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I just hope and pray that one day

You will know Him and agree

That He is oh so worthy

to be praised by you and me.
